The statement making the rounds read in full: "I have no secession agenda. I don't want to pull the Igbos out of Nigeria. Yes, I called Nigeria a zoo. A country of my parents, grandparents, great grandparents, great, great grandparents, can't possibly be a zoo.

"I have no secession agenda. I don't want to pull the Igbos out of Nigeria. Yes, I called Nigeria a zoo. A country of my parents, grandparents, great grandparents, great, great grandparents, can't possibly be a zoo. I am happy that what we set out to do has gained outstanding traction. "Today, I have gained popularity far more than I desired. No other propaganda could have sold into the hearts of my Igbo brothers and sisters and drew sympathy than what I did on Radio Biafra. "Radio Biafra became the thorn in the flesh of The Establishment. Day by day, we intensified our campaign against the Buhari government. "That was the target and still remains the target. The Radio Biafra became an alternative voice for the PDP. The PDP as a party has never let me down. "It is a partnership I have never regretted. "That was the target and still remains the target. The Radio Biafra became an alternative voice for the PDP. The PDP as a party has never let me down. "It is a partnership I have never regretted. As partners, the ultimate benefit of this mutuality is the democratic enthronement of a new government with the present occupants completely shut out. The 2015 loss should teach all of us some lesson. Read more: https://www.naij.com/1102679-i-dont-pull-igbos-nigeria-nnamdi-kanu-allegedly-reveals-started-biafra-ambit.html

The outgoing governor stated this while speaking during the second anniversary of the Agbebiye Initiative held in Akure, the state capital on Friday.

Bail is not free in Nigeria - CLO lashes out

The 'Bail is free' inscription can be found in almost all Nigerian police stations

- The Civil Liberties Organisation (CLO) has called out the Nigerian police - The organisation said all ' Bail is free' inscriptions should be removed - The CLO chairman said bail is not free anywhere in Nigeria and this should be correcte The 'Bail is free' inscription can be found in almost all Nigerian police stations The Civil Liberties Organisation (CLO) has called out the Nigerian police over the 'Bail is free' inscription present in almost all Nigerian police stations. The CLO called for the immediate removal of the inscription from police stations and law courts, saying that it was misleading. Speaking in Lagos on Tuesday, April 4, the CLO chairman, Mr Ehi Omokhuale said that since bail is obviously not free, the public should be properly informed. READ ALSO: "How I was defrauded by the police even with my original documents" He said: "The CLO upholds that the “Bail is Free’’ inscription in our police stations and law courts is not only an institutionalised fraud against the citizenry, but a practice that makes our human rights stance a laughing stock in the eyes of the civilised world. "We demand, therefore, that bail fees charged by the police and our law courts for the different offences should be published and the 'Bail is Free' inscription replaced with 'Bail Fees’." Having said that Omokhuale shifted attention to the other security agencies, calling on the state police command, local governments in the state and Lagos State Transport Management Authority (LASTMA) to curb extortion among their men and agents. READ ALSO: Police shoot protesting youths, kill one in Ile Ife He also touched on the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) and Road Employers Association of Nigeria to caution their workers. He concluded: “Extortion on Lagos roads has become unceasingly unnerving and an eyesore. Police road blocks mounted with sticks, drums tyres and firewood at various odd parts of the city is far from being the standard mode of policing. "The crude operational style sometimes used by LASTMA and Kick Against Indiscipline (KAI) personnel, leaves much to be desired and has no place in a modern city structure." Meanwhile, in a message sent to NAIJ.com, a Facebook user, Damola Emily alleged that the police AIG from zone 2 led his men in collaboration with one Mr Ifidion to the area to destroy property belonging to Engr Okunola.CITYGURU.com was recently on the street discussing corruption with Nigerians.
